Prior to joining WDHA, Jim spent a number of years as part of the New York/New Jersey sports media corps covering the Mets, Yankees, Jets, Giants, Knicks, Nets, Devils and Rangers. Jim has over 25 years of experience coaching and playing baseball. He spent two years in baseball management with the Newark Bears. and coached the Don Bosco Prep freshman baseball team to back-to-back Bergen County championships for the only time in the school's history. He's also an instructor with Professional Baseball Instruction in Bergen County.
It's only fitting that a blog that references baseball in both name and picture should make its debut on Media Day for Super Bowl XLVI. If you've never been on the media side of a major sports event, allow me to make a comparison - try watching paint dry.
The first question Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was asked - "Are you excited?" Riveting. And best of all? The NFL allowed fans to come to the stadium to watch the players being asked such probing questions.
Hopefully, the topics we'll talk about here will be a bit more entertaining, and a bit more insightful. That said, I doubt I'll be able to match the passion of Gina Tarantella, but that's a discussion for another time.
