The Fourth of July is a day to celebrate our independence. It is commonly associated with parades, fireworks, barbeques and speeches and ceremonies. But let's remember our independence. We have incredible military dogs who continue to fight for our freedoms and independence every day along with our unbelievable military personnel.
Take a minute to remember both on this 4th, and if you can make it a point to visit an area shelter this summer. I heard a great story this week about a group of kids who donated their ice cream money to help out a shelter dog at St. Huberts. So wonderful! Have a great Fourth of July!
