I love me The Greyhounds! In fact, DHA Morning Jolt co-host Kim Mulligan has often called them her favorite breed. The month of April is National Adopt A Greyhound month and the need to place these elegant creatures in loving homes has never been greater. The Greyhound project is spreading the adoption message to insure that these beauties get loving homes. In the last few years 11 racetracks (thankfully) have been closed down which means the racing population is desperate to re-home these love bugs. Greyhounds make great pets. They are gentle, graceful and loving companions.
The Greyhound Project is a fantastic group that works with over 300 Greyhound rescues nationwide. They have been around since the early 90's, helping to give these dogs the loving lives they deserve. If you are considering adoption, consider a Greyhound. They are just wonderful!! For info on the Greyound Project check out www.thegreyhoundproject.org They can help you find a NJ group that can introduce you to some fantastic Greyhounds, they also provide info, tips and a wealth of information about this wonderful breed. And click and listen to their special message on this page.
Greyhounds are for lovin', not racin'! Love one today!
