So...Kiss FINALLY gets their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame AND the ceremony is in Brooklyn! Perfect...right?? Not so fast!
I'm not always the biggest Rock Hall fan...however, I don't hate it the way some folks do. I am however actually excited when artists I love get recognized and ESPECIALLY when Rock artists get a nod. This year Kiss finally got their nod. The fans have pushed for years for this...years...and the band can't decide which line up shoud play?? OR Gene and Paul just don't want a reunion with Ace and Peter who they seem to want to pay back for some bad rockstar behavior. Quite frankly, the original lineup should play in my opinion. Put your differences aside for 20 minutes and do it. The fans want it! And of course they are a band for "the fans". (Or so they say) . Morning Jolt co-host Kim Mulligan feels Kiss should decide who should play. The fans should have no say, as it is the bands job to deliver a great performance when a ticket is bought. Good point. However artists become eligible 25 years after the release of their first record. So does that exclude Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer? Should they go in? It is way to complicated for my tired brain. As for the performance, who knows? Should Vinnie Vincent be there? Does anyone care? Let the band members past and present take the stage and share the tunes. And just shut up already. I for one am planning to attend and cheer on artists who are accepting their honor with humble hearts. Dave and Krist from Nirvana, Hall and Oates (who I LOVE...!) and The E Street Band. I'm hoping for a fun evening.....Stay tuned!
See you tomorrow at 10!
