Saint Monica’s Knights of Columbus Council #11529 will be holding its 6th Annual Rubber Duck Race on Saturday October 13th at Pine Park in Lakewood, NJ. A $10 Rubber Duck Raffle ticket is purchased and the number on your ticket will match the number on the bottom of a little rubber duck. The ducks are placed in the Metedeconk River in Pine Park and they race or rather float down the river to the finish line. The first duck that crosses the finish line wins the grand prize which is a LG 55” LCD High Definition TV and a 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround System and a Blur Ray DVD Player. In addition, the wining duck will have the chance to win a 2012 Jeep Wrangler 4x4. The day will also be filled with games for kids, music, face painting, and food and drinks for purchase. The Rubber Duck Race has raised over $45,461 over the last five years and all proceeds go to the Knights of Columbus which supports many local and national charities.
