West Milford Elks Lodge #2236 will be having their 2nd Annual Duck Race from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. There will be a DJ, Bounce House, Raffles, 50/50, Children’s Activities and a representative will be available to buy anyone’s old jewelry if they wish to sell it. The children’s race starts at 3:00 PM and the children will be awarded trophies and ribbons. The cost is $5 per duck entered. The adult race starts at 4:00 PM and the cost is $10 per duck, $50 per quack pack (6 ducks) or $100 per Flock (13 ducks). Admission is FREE. All the proceeds are going to benefit the Elks Charities. This year alone we have sponsored 24 special needs campers at Camp Moore, donated $2000.00 to the High Schools Project Graduation, given out more than $5000.00 in scholarships to High School Seniors, given the Vets from Montrose Veterans Hospital several days out where they come to the Lodge for lunch and games, donated to local families in need, we donate to the local First Aid Squads and Fire Departments. We also assist Boy Scouts with their Eagle Projects and Girl Scouts with their Gold Awards. So come by Saturday, October 6, 2012 and help us help others.
