I've known most of the members of Agency of Record outside of radio for quite some time. They are all extremely talented musicians and as a whole, their sound has grown so much. I am so, so happy for these guys to be able to see their progression on their musical journey, along with a large public following!

Their drummer could not make the performance below, but I will definitely advise any of you to see a show with these guys plugged in and ripping, because he is insane on a kit! Natural talent to the max, his beats along with the lead singer's wail combined with the ripping guitar and bass.....Please do yourself a favor and head to a show. Although if you ...

Another song from the band Tag in the WDHA Homegrown Spotlight

John Taglieri and the members of the band Tag came into the WDHA studios on Valentines Day of 2011 chocolates and all, and blew our minds with their musical talent!!! Fantastic musicians, fantastic people, please give their beautiful music a listen!

In addition, lead singer John is always travelling and spreading his music all over the world. His latest EP "Lucky #9" drops on Itunes 4/17 so please look out for it!

The Blaire Reinhand band is very local and consists of Blaire, her husband and brother...as well as other bandmates from Hoboken....

Blaire is a beautiful singer, person, and soul....and her personality/talent shines thru her voice when she sings. We love love love these guys!!! I absolutely suggest checking out a show as well! They'll be at the Famished Frog in Morristown 3/31. For more information find them on Facebook or Blaireband.com. I am reposting the interview and featuring another track performed for us for the upcoming holiday of St Patricks Day!!

I was having one of those no good, very bad days, before I met the gents from Dead Fish Handshake. I am personally a pretty optimistic person most of the time, but I'm human. It was definitely a "funk" of a day. It wasn't until the doors of the room were shut and the band started playing, that I started to break down. The band cracked me.....The vocals from Matt and Rob perked my attention, and I started to let myself get carried away by the music.

A good movie to me is one that leaves you speechless at the end. You walk out the cinema doors and start to digest in your mind and body what just happened. Likewise, music does the same to me. A talented band will get under my skin, take me to a place other ...

Going Dark at WDHA with Lindsay Klein

Going Dark is a three piece band with the youngest musicians the blog has ever seen! When I was first informed they were coming in I thought in the back of my mind "please dont be young poppy the same as everyone else music"...and boy was I in luck! These guys are absolutely not like any other younger band out there, they stand alone with their talent and sound!

Lacey and I were really impressed by these guys and they were so so sweet which always helps!!!! They are having a CD release party this Friday January 27th at Chill in Montclair with our very own Terrie Carr to host the sold out show!

I asked them about advice for bands just starting off because even though they are young, they have climbed a big ladder in only a year, and they said to always practice and stay ...

Another track from the band Alamance with Lindsay Klein

Josh and Matt came in from Alamance awhile ago and performed a couple amazing tracks for us, so I thought I'd repost their interview and a different track!

The Homegrown Spotlight segment on WDHA is on Monday - Thursday about 11:30pm. I play a local original artist and one song promoting anything they have going on as well. Its been a fabulous journey for me being a part of their lives, as well as they being a part of my career, so it was only natural for me to want to expand this concept.

The Blog is something on our WDHA website, ...

Another gem from Fifteen Fleeting

When I look back on the year with the WDHA Homegrown Spotlight, a few bands really stick out in my head. Truth be told, if you are invited onto the blog, I already adore you....but if you do something "unique" I may love you even more:)

Fifteen Fleeting to me put out one of the best albums I've ever heard on the blog. The kind of CD you think youre going to check out on your ride home from work, that happens to stay in the CD player for months.....They performed for my blog and did an amazing job so I decided to post another track and repost their interview!

I met Craig many years ago being the frontman behind the band "Damn This Desert Air" which is also one of my favorite local bands. He just recently introduced me to this other project Elemae and I am another lifer....something about those loud vocals and fabulous guitar riffs that just get into your soul. I've always told Craig his voice reminds me of Sensefield's vocalist Jonathan Bunch, melodic but powerful.

They have recently revisited their older music with newer energy and below is an example of an acoustic sound for this band. Please ...
