Green Day Lends a Song to "Twilight" Soundtrack
By: Annie Scaramuzzino
10/5/2012

Call us crazy, but we can’t really picture one of the main topics of conversation on the Green Day tour bus to be “are you Team Edward or Team Jacob”?

That aside, it looks like the rock trio has lent a song to the soundtrack of “Breaking Dawn – Part 2”, entitled “The Forgotten”, which comes off the third installment of their album trilogy, Uno!, Dos! Tre!.

The band joins the ranks of other big names such as Feist, Ellie Goulding and Passion Pit in what is expected to be the most popular Twilight soundtrack to date, as it is the final movie in the four-part saga.

During an interview with Yahoo!, bassist Mike Dirnt stated of the band’s involvement, “When we were asked to be part of the 'Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' soundtrack, we readily agreed because the films are an insane cultural phenomenon, and we have always been impressed with the way the 'Twilight' soundtracks are so carefully curated."

“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2” soundtrack is due out on November 13th, with the movie’s worldwide release set for the 16th.
