More good news for fans of The Black Keys!
The rock duo has recently announced that they will “run right back” into the studio, come February/March.
Billboard was able to speak with the group’s guitarist and lead singer Dan Auerbach who had this to say about their upcoming project:
"We have a couple of months blocked early next year, like February/March," he also added that he has been writing a bit but nothing is set in stone. "Pat and I don't practice or rehearse until we go in to make the record so we won't really know what it's going to be like or what's going to happen till we get in the studio and start working on it."
The Keys’ have proven that they know how to focus and crank out an album.
In order to stay away from any distractions, the duo won’t be recording it in Auerbach’s newly built studio in Nashville; they have also put together quite the rigorous studio schedule, as Dan explained.
"We usually start around 11 and then work till 3 or 4 in the morning and that's everyday. Our favorite place to be is in the studio."
With their most recent album El Camino making it all the way up to #2 on the Billboard Top 200 list, we’re fine with hearing that their favorite place to be is in the studio, as long as they keep producing awesome albums.
