Jack White has been busy in 2012 but apparently he still found time to try his hand at a new genre of music.
Those who have listened to White over the years already know that he likes to experiment with his sound and styles of music, and his newest track, “Blues on Two Trees” definitely qualifies as a new sound and style.
The track starts off with his typical bluesy sound, which simply serves as an intro for the Detroit-native to start rapping. Yes, rapping!
White has been involved in the hip-hop scene before, as he has recorded singles with both Insane Clown Posse and Black Milk, but taking on a song by rhyming solo is a whole new feat for the singer.
“Blues on Two Trees” is available in full from Third Man Records starting today (October 30th).
The ex-White Stripes frontman released his debut solo album Blunderbuss, in April of this year. The album climbed the Billboard Top 200 list all the way to the #1 spot, and it is still hanging on the chart at #157.
