Apparently, Aerosmith believes that celebrating the release of their new album and to kicking off a month long tour isn't complete without bringing their hometown in the fold.
The rockers have quite the November ahead of them with the release of their 15th studio album Music From Another Dimension out tomorrow (November 6th), and a month long, 14-city arena tour launching on November 8th.
So to celebrate and encourage people to get out and vote, the group decided to throw a party of sorts and play a show at a place that means a lot to them: 1325 Commonwealth Avenue in Boston.
Why is that location so special?
According to a press release on their website, that is actually were the group lived in an apartment from 1970-1972, and wrote some of their earliest hits.
The group is set to show up at noon and rock out live on the streets.
And if you can’t make it all the way to Boston by then, worry not! Fans can still tune into the event online, as it will be exclusively broadcast live on AXS TV.
The second leg of Aerosmith's Global Warming Tour kicks off in Oklahoma City on November 8th, and wraps up on December 13th in Nashville.
Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Brad Whitford also performed at the "Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together" telethon on Friday (November 2nd), playing "Dream On" and teaming up with Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel and Jimmy Fallon for a rendition of "Under the Boardwalk".
