Nothing says “apocalypse” like the music of Led Zeppelin!
At least, that’s how a producer at NBC felt.
According to Billboard, the music of the iconic UK rock band will be featured in an upcoming episode of the new series, Revolution, in conjunction with the band’s release of their CD/DVD Celebration Day.
It’s a rare thing to hear the music of Zeppelin used in projects unrelated to the band, but their contract with Warner Music Group allowed executive producer Eric Kripke access to the songs, as the show is produced with Warner Bros. Television.
Kripke, who calls himself a “massive Led Zeppelin fan”, tells Billboard that he responded so quickly to an email from Warner-Chappell Music inquiring if any producers wanted to use Zeppelin songs in their shows, he thinks he “weirded them out a little”.
We can’t blame him for his enthusiasm though; there really is nothing as epic as the music of Led Zeppelin!
The episode, which is set to air on Monday, November 19th at 10pm EST, currently has a promo running on NBC that features “Kashmir”, which will be showcased during the show along with "Since I've Been Loving You".
