After a two-year wait, Alter Bridge officially have a new album on the way!
This past Friday (January 4th) singer Myles Kennedy and guitarist Mark Tremonti posted a picture of themselves to the band’s official Facebook page with the caption: “It begins today!”
In a later post, the duo wrote, “Writing on ‘AB4’ has begun. Very productive sessions so far!”The band, which also consists of drummer Scott Phillips and bassist Brian Marshall, is most likely taking this time to work on the new LP because Tremonti and Kennedy are on a brief break from their side projects.
Tremonti has tour scheduled with his solo band beginning next month and Kennedy kicks off a series of European concert dates with Slash on January 31st.
The new album will mark the bands’ first since 2010’s ABIII, which was released on their own label, Alter Bridge Recordings via EMI. Most recently, the group released a live concert DVD entitled Live at Wembley, which chronicles their 2011 concert at Wembley Stadium.
