Soundgarden Has No Plans to Slow Down

The members of Soundgarden consider the band a growing concern again after reuniting in 2010 and releasing their first new album in 16 years, "King Animal," last fall.

Frontman Chris Cornell tells us that the Seattle quartet, which is currently back out on the road, has every intention to keep making music together for the

"I don't see any reason why not. I think the overall attitude about keeping it going...seems to be really good. There's nothing stopping us from continuing to make records, that's for sure, and continuing to play shows. We had a good experience making this album, and since we've come back together, everything has been kind of that way...We're doing this because we love it and because it matters to us, and not for any other reason."

Soundgarden's latest tour wraps up February 17, with more dates expected to be announced for later in the year. Cornell, meanwhile, is also planning a solo tour for this year.

Soundgarden has also just released a video for the "King Animal" track "By Crooked Steps," which was directed by Dave Grohl and features a guest appearance by Deadmau5.
