Megadeth Album Title and Other Details Revealed
By: Annie Scaramuzzino
2/13/2013

Megadeth has stayed fairly quiet about the details of their upcoming album, but that has now come to a grinding halt!

The band took to their official website yesterday (February 12th) to reveal that the album will be called Super Collider and is set for release in June from frontman Dave Mustaine’s label, Tradecraft (via Universal Music Enterprises.)

Super Collider, which marks the band’s first efforts since 2011’s Thirt3en, is currently being recorded by Mustaine, Shawn Drover (drums), David Ellefson (bass) and Chris Broderick (guitar) at Mustaine’s studio in San Marcos, CA.

The official press release states that Mustaine is feeling positively about both Megadeth’s deal with Universal and the current climate of their studio sessions. The singer said, “We are electrified with what the future holds and the possibilities such a powerhouse like Uni will bring for us all. We have worked with some great people over the years, and it is amazing to see so many of them on the Universal team for our new record, Super Collider.”

He also added, “Shawn, Chris and David have all been feverishly contributing some great music and I believe we are doing our best work ever together in the studio right now!”

Megadeth announced that pre-sale for their UK shows in June begins today (February 13th) for fan club members, and will be available to the general public beginning Friday (February 15th).

For more updates on Megadeth, and all of their upcoming concerts and projects, head to their official website.
