Alice in Chains Reveal New Album Title and Release Date
By: Claire Holton
2/15/2013

Alice in Chains
teased the title for their upcoming album yesterday (February 14) on their official website with the ominous words of advice “Decode The Past To Reveal The Future" and the following letters:

H V L E N T P S U S D A H I E E O E D T I U R R

Now, the band has revealed the official album title, which will be (drums roll please....)

The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here

Guitarist Jerry Cantrell confirmed that the new album was finished last December, telling Classic Rock Magazine, “It’s got all the elements of any record we’ve put out, but it’s unlike any record we’ve put out. Basically, it’s the next chapter in the Alice in Chains book, and it’s going to be a big one.”

The band also recently announced that their much-anticipated fifth studio album is due out in May of this year, with their first single “Hollow” currently sitting at No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock radio charts.

Besides stumping some of us with anagrams, Alice In Chains are showing us their big hearts once again with their fourth annual charity auction in conjunction with the AIC & Friends fantasy football league. You can bid on the items up for auction yourself via eBay!

Alice in Chains is set to embark on a North American spring tour, which kicks off on April 25th in Miami Beach, FL and concludes on May 25th in Pryor, OK at the Rocklahoma Music Festival. The band also has festival dates scheduled for June and September, when they'll appear at the Download Festival in Donington Park, England and at Rock in Rio, in Rio de, Janeiro, Brazil, respectively.

Check out their entire list of concert dates below and be sure to check out their music video for "Hollow" and let us know what you think!
