Def Leppard will be pouring more than just sugar on fans in Las Vegas this spring. In addition to its nine-show residency at the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel, the group will be the subject and star of a new edition of Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp, running April 4-7 in Sin City.
All five Def Leps will take part in the camp, giving attendees general playing tips as well as helping them to arrange performances of Def Leppard songs.
It will be the second time serving as mentors for guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, and Collen tells us he's looking forward to being part of the camp again: "I lost my voice, actually...I thought I was going to go in and say hi. They had me singing in there, paying guitar, wielding this little amp around with one of the road guy. I'd just plug-in in every room...So it was actually really cool. But, like I said, I lost me voice. It was, 'Can you sing this?' -- 'Pour Some Sugar on Me' in one room, 'Fallen' in the next room, belting it out. And I came away from there kind of beat-up, actually. It was actually really fun. So I'm actually looking forward to that as well. I know what's in store. I know the hard work the mentors do."
Fantasy campers will also have a chance to attend one of Def Lep's Hard Rock shows, where the group will be laying the "Hysteria" album in its entirety. Registrations are currently being taken at www.rockcamp.com.
