Buckcherry has its hands full promoting its just-released new album, "Confessions," but it's hardly the only project the group has in motion right now.
Frontman Josh Todd tells us the band is thinking visually, including a short film he's written about his life as well as plans for a full-scale concert DVD:
"I just basically condensed my life story, made a short film, 30-minute short film...We haven't been able to make the movie 'cause it costs a lot of money to make it. We had no idea going into it. We're still trying to get funding for that. I don't know what the thing is online where you ask your fans to fund stuff (Kickstarter). We didn't want to do it at the time because the economy was so band and we didn't want to ask our fans for money at the time. We just thought it was not appropriate and we wanted to come up with it ourselves, so we're still working on it."
But Todd says the live DVD may work in tandem with the film idea:
"We're doing it right now. We're working on a live DVD for a live show -- a really nice shot, like maybe five camera angles and something really nice, and then we want to couple it with the movie and use the budget for both of them to work together so that we can do it."
Buckcherry is currently opening for Kid Rock but has a three-night booked March 7-9 at the Viper Room in West Hollywood, Calif., where the live DVD may be shot.
