Revolver Magazine kicking up the buzz behind its 2013 Golden Gods Awards to 11 and plugging in Stone Sour, In the Moment, and Hell or Highwater to power its first-ever Road to the Golden Gods Tour. Running from Portland, Maine on April 2 to Nashville, Tenn on April 24, the edgy trio of bands will certainly set a pleasant, unruly tone for the magazine’s night of recognizing the best in hard rock.

Fronted by former Slipknot lead singer Corey Taylor, Stone Sour will headline the string of shows. They have been nominated for awards in three categories including best vocalist, best drummer (Roy Mayorga), best album (House of Gold and Bones, Part 1).

“Me and the guys in Stone Sour are very excited, not only to be a part of the Golden Gods, but also to be headline the first Road to the Golden Gods Tour!” Taylor told Revolver. “The Golden Gods is the only awards show in America that truly recognizes and honors our genre; so to be a part of a tour that they sponsor is something that we are all very proud of. We’re looking forward to the tour, and looking forward to the awards ceremony. We promise we will have something special that no one will ever forget!”

We’d just be happy if he threw on his trademark Slipknot masks in between sets!
