Axl Rose is in some legal trouble once more.
During a Guns N’ Roses concert on Saturday, March 9, in Perth Australia, the singer threw his microphone into the audience, leaving Darren Wright, 39, wishing for his two front teeth.
According to The West Australian, Wright said, "With the bright lights and explosions, I couldn't see anything. The next thing I knew, I was whacked in the mouth. I thought I had been punched. I was quite stunned and it took a few seconds to realize what was going on. I could feel bits of teeth in my mouth. Then someone is climbing through my legs to grab the microphone."
Suffering from a busted lip, chipped teeth and a damaged nerve, Wright was contacted by tour promoter, Magnus Andrew, apologizing for the accident and offering a signed microphone from Axl Rose (what!?).
Since a signed mic does not buy back two teeth or pay for months of dental work at $5,000 a crack, Wright, father of four on a single income, consulted a lawyer.
"In reality I don't think the microphone is going to fix my teeth or pay for the dentist," Wright told The West Australian, though he did admit he didn't think the act was intentional.
Rose has had his fair share of legal woes is recent years with lawsuits from former managers, a German electronic producer and, with a lawsuit of his own, against the creators of Guitar Hero III.
Perhaps one of these days, Axl will learn how to stay out of the Jungle of trouble.
