Ted Nugent to Start Work on First Album Since 2007
By: Zooby Qizilbash
3/15/2013

There a lot of controversial figures in the pop culture world of today, many of which are in the business of Rock and Roll. One of the most vocal musicians out there is none other than the Motor City Madman – Ted Nugent.

Though we often hear Ted’s voice in the media, it’s been six years since we’ve heard a new album from him. And for fans that have a bit of ‘Cat Scratch Fever’ for some fresh music from Terrible Ted, there is good news!

In an interview with Classic Rock Revisited, Nugent sat down for a lengthy discussion on a variety of topics, one of which was the idea of new music.

“I am confident there will be a new killer record ASAP,” Nugent told Classic Rock Revisited.  “I am certain real hard rock soul music lovers will love them.”

If you’re looking to find Ted Nugent in the meantime, it shouldn’t be difficult. He’s found a second home on the small screen, appearing through the years on political talk shows as well as being featured on his own outdoor-themed shows on networks such Versus, PBS and the Outdoor Channel.

Also, combining music and television, it was recently announced on TedNugent.com that the rocker’s song “Turn it Up” will appear on one of the upcoming episodes of AMC’s The Walking Dead.

Ted Nugent kick off the Midwest Rock 'n Roll Express tour with STYX and REO Speedwagon next month. The dates will begin on April 18th in North Dakota and wrap up on May 19th in Pennsylvania. For more information on the tour, be sure to check out tednugent.com/events.
