Fans of Filter have waited a while for new material from the group, and now, the wait is almost over!
The band took to their official website yesterday (March 18th) to announce that their sixth studio album The Sun Comes Out Tonight will be released on June 4th, marking their first effort since 2010’s The Trouble with Angels.
And for those who think that three months is still too far away, Filter has got you covered! The group is currently offering a free download of the album’s first track “We Hate it When You Get What You Want” at OfficialFilter.com.
Fans may even get the opportunity to hear music from The Sun Comes Out Tonight live before its release when Filter plays the Welcome to Rockville festival in Jacksonville, FL on April 27. Other groups playing the festival, that extends into April 28, include Alice in Chains, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Shinedown, 3 Doors Down, Buckcherry, Stone Sour, Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, Pop Evil and more.
For more on Filter’s upcoming projects, head to the band’s official website.
