Fans of Iron Maiden and Megadeth better start practicing their headbanging skills for this coming September when the two giants of heavy metal are set to tour the US!
Slated for seven dates, the bands will start off the tour with Maiden’s first-ever appearance in Raleigh, NC and wrap-up in San Bernardino, CA for the Battle of San Bernardino festival where metal heavyweights, Anthrax, Testament, Overkill, and Sabaton will also take the stage.
After the shows, Maiden will head to Brazil as a headliner for the September 22 Rock in Rio festival which sold out 70,000 tickets within hours, according to Antimusic.
Tickets for the Las Vegas and San Bernardino shows go on sale April 12, while tickets for the shows in Raleigh, Nashville, St Louis and Austin go on sale April 13, and tickets for the Kansas City date go on sale May 17.
For anyone who can’t make it to a show, Megadeth is already accepting preorders for its upcoming record Super Collider which will hit shelves on June 4. Also, Iron Maiden recently released the live concert DVD Maiden England ’88, which showcases the band’s two-night stint at the UK’s Birmingham NEC Arena during their Seventh Son of a Seventh Son tour in November in 1988.
