Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor is out quite a bit of money after his Iowa home and storage unit were robbed of approximately $36,000 in musical gear.
Besides the obvious sting that comes with having your personal property stolen, the robbery also hit an emotional note for Taylor. According to the Des Moines Register, the singer says that two of the missing guitars are those of the late Slipknot bassist Paul Gray, who passed away in May of 2010.
While it seems as no official suspect has been charged, the Des Moines Register reports that Taylor believes a friend is responsible for the crime, which several friends of he and his wife have seemingly confirmed. Taylor also apparently told police that he thinks his equipment, some of which has since been recovered, was stolen while he and his wife were in Europe over the past month.
The situation comes while both Slipknot and Stone Sour are on break, so hopefully Taylor will be able to find the remainder of his stolen items until picking things back up again with his bands in the fall.
