Chevelle's campaign for its new album "La Gargola" is ready to roll into the summer. The Chicago trio has announced a 22-date (so far) summer run kicking off June 20 in Toledo and visiting mostly the West Coast and the plains states with some Midwest stops along the way. The group is off the road for a bit now while drummer Sam Loeffler and his wife bond with their first child -- a son born last week -- but Chevelle also has a few spring dates, including May 17 at Rock on the Range and May 24 at Bluesfest in Niceville, Fla., along with a June 14 stop at Britain's Download Festival. Chevelle has already spent some time on the road this year supporting "La Gorgola," and Loeffler tells us things have been going well so far: Chevelle's Sam Loeffler on touring this year behind "La Gorgola" by GMI Rock News "Everything's been sold out....just packed house, great, getting the word out there, and everybody's having a great time...We're trying to get back to Europe a couple of times. It's been difficult to be back and forth to Europe, but we're putting a really good effort in, some videos and things...and some fun festivals and some that come by and are cool. So a lot of work, but we're really enjoying it, and our sets have been great. We've been doing 19 songs 'cause it's hard to make a set list from seven albums. It's been a really great time to be here right now." "La Gargola" gave Chevelle a career-high No. 3 debut on the Billboard 200, as well as a second No. 1 on both the Alternative Rock Albums and Hard Rock Albums Charts.
