Chevelle has had a strong run with "Take Out the Gunman," the first single from its new "La Gargola" album. But now the trio is setting its sights on what's next. "Gunman" topped Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart -- Chevelle's fourth No. 1 there -- and drummer Sam Loeffler tells us the next single is still being determined, although a favorite seems to be emerging: Chevelle's Sam Loeffler on the band's next single by GMI Rock News "We think it's gonna be 'Hunter Eats Hunter'...We've been playing that track out as well as 'An Island.' I think the band wanted it to be 'An Island,' but we were sort of outvoted by various (laughs), y'know, what's been downloaded more, what our fans say, that kind of thing. So I think it's probably gonna be 'Hunter Eats Hunter.'" Chevelle is currently off the road while Loeffler and his wife bond with their first child, a son born last week in suburban Chicago. The group heads back out for the Rock on the Range festival on May 17 in Columbus, Ohio, and just announced a longer North American tour that begins June 20 in Toledo.
