With its self-titled debut album due out later this month, the British duo Royal Blood is adding more dates to its fall tour of North America. The group -- riding high with its current single "Figure It Out" -- has added another seven dates to the trek, which kicks off September 20 in Iowa City and now runs through October 16 in New York City. Bassist-singer Mike Kerr tells us that he and drummer Ben Thatcher are most excited about the seven shows they'll be playing with the Pixies during that stretch: "I mean, how could I not? It's the Pixies, y'know -- again, something that really took us by surprise, and it's hard to take in. It's hard for that to feel like a reality. But, yeah, I can't wait to go out on the road wtih them...That'll be exciting." The "Royal Blood" album comes out August 25, following the duo's debut EP, "Out of the Black."
