Members of Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, KISS, Black Sabbath, U2 and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are among the richest bass players in the world according to the web site The Richest. Former Beatle Paul McCartney was, not surprisingly, at No. 1; his $1.2 billion worth was not only well ahead of Sting and KISS' Gene Simmons -- tied for second at $300 million -- but also with more money than the rest of the Top 10 bassist combined. The rest of the list includes: Roger Waters, $270 million; U2's Adam Clayton, $150 million; Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, $115 million; Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones, $80 million; Black Sabbath's Geezer Butler, $65 million; No Doubt's Tony Kanal, 445 million; and Nirvana's Krist Novoselic, $40 million. The Richest did not reveal how it tallied the various bass players' fortunes, however.
