While it was safe to assume that another AC/DC tour would be in the works after the release of their follow-up to 2008’s Black Ice, it never hurts to get confirmation from drummer Phil Rudd. Rudd sat down with Australia’s “Today Show” recently to discuss his upcoming solo debut album, and naturally, AC/DC came up. Not only did he say that a tour is on the way, Rudd also said that, “We’ll probably all have to be dead before it stops…You’ll never stop Angus, mate.” I guess that answers any lingering doubts about the bands future after the recent reports regarding Macolm Young’s health surface. Rudd’s solo album, Head Job, comes out August 29. So far, there hasn’t been info about the anticipated release date of AC/DC’s latest studio effort, but biographer Jesse Fink did say in an interview with WDHA’s “Morning Jolt” that the album is, “as good as Black Ice, if not better.”
