Johnny Depp and Aerosmith Jam Together During LA Concert
By: Annie Scaramuzzino
12/5/2012

Johnny Depp’s
guitar playing is becoming such a regular occurrence during Aerosmith shows that they may have to offer him a spot in the band!

The actor first appeared on stage with the Boston rock legends during a concert this past summer at the Hollywood Bowl when he offered up his skills for the song “Train Kept A-Rollin’”.

On Monday (December 3rd), Depp made his return when Aerosmith played the Staples Center in LA; former Guns N’ Roses guitarist, Izzy Stradlin was also featured as a guest earlier in the evening.

The band and Depp played versions of Aerosmith’s famous covers of Fleetwood Mac’s “Stop Messin’ Around” and the Beatles’ “Come Together”.

And the Depp/Aerosmith collaboration doesn’t stop there! Johnny also appears on the band’s latest album Music From Another Dimension, lending back-up vocals for the song “Freedom Fighter”.

Depp has recently been seen rocking out with his guitar on stages around the west coast more often than he’s been seen on the silver screen. Throughout 2012, he’s been a featured guest at Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson concerts, along with the two Aerosmith shows he now has under his belt.

We’re not sure if Johnny is preparing for a role as a rock star for an upcoming film, but if he is, he sure is getting some great experience!

Aerosmith is currently completing the second leg of their Global Warming tour, which ends on December 13th in Nashville, TN.

Check out the video of Aerosmith and Johnny Depp jamming below and head to AeroForceOne.com for more updates on the band’s activities!
