Stone Sour is set to start 2013 off on the right note.
The band’s debut single from their forthcoming album House of Gold & Bones – Part 2, entitled “Do Me A Favor,” is scheduled to go to radio on February 12th with a music video to follow. The album will be released in April.
Lead vocalist Corey Taylor told us that 'Part 2' picks up right where the story left off in the concept album's first part: "''Part 2' has a lot of themes from 'Part 1,' and there are things on 'Part 1' that are echoed on 'Part 2' that you don't even realize. There's gonna be a lot of payoff on 'Part 2,' let's put it that way."
Expanding the concept even more, the band will be releasing a series of House of Gold & Bones graphic novels in April, which will be based around the same themes as the albums.
Taylor also recently revealed to Billboard that the group is planning a world tour in 2014, during which the band will spend two nights in each city to perform both halves of its House of Gold & Bones double album. Tour information is to be determined.
But if you can’t wait until 2014 to see Taylor and his band mates, rest easy. Stone Sour and Papa Roach will team up for a co-headlining U.S. tour that will kick off January 20th in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Stone Sour will also travel to Japan to play Ozzfest on May 12th.
