Foo Fighters members Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins are among the first participants named for this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, taking place April 18 at the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles.
Grohl and Hawkins will be inducting Rush that night. Also named in the first batch of presenters and performers are the Eagles' Don Henley to induct Randy Newman and Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson to perform in honor of the late Donna Summer, while John Mayer will induct the late Albert King, then join Gary Clark, Jr., for a performance.
More participants will be announced soon. Other 2013 inductees include Heart, Public Enemy and industry figures Lou Adler and Quincy Jones. The ceremony will be filmed by HBO and broadcast at 9 p.m. EST on May 18.
Tickets go on sale Thursday (January 24) for American Express cardholders, Monday (January 28) for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum members and Rush and Heart fan club members, and February 1 for the general public.
