Megadeth Asks Fans to Suggest Guest Singer for Next Album
By: Claire Holton
2/8/2013

Looks like Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine is turning it over to the fans to decide who the guest singer should be on a new track!

Mustaine posted yesterday on the band’s Facebook page: “Any ideas for a guest singer on a track? I have a few ideas, but wanna know what you think. The post has gotten nearly 3,600 replies so far, with suggestions ranging from Metallica’s James Hetfield to Avenge Sevenfold’s M. Shadows.

The news is a bit of a head scratcher though. According to another Facebook post by Mustaine from February 1st, the band’s new album is finished recording and now they’re in the mixing stage:

“Played guitar, sang, & did minor adjustments yesterday to songs 1-4. Mixing has begun & you’ll have something soon to hear! I’m so pumped!!”

Whether or not Mustaine takes the fans suggestions or if the surprise guest’s track will appear on the new album remains to be seen, but either way, metalheads everywhere should get excited for great new Megadeth music in 2013!
