As rock stars’ longtime penchant for women of the younger variety is no secret, newly single Steven Tyler calling Taylor Swift “hot” during an interview with US Magazine could be construed in several ways.

When the magazine posed the Aerosmith frontman with the question on whom he would most like to intern for, Tyler responded, “She's blonde with all the hits. Taylor Swift. She's hot.”

He then continued, “More than that, she’s beyond talented. I have to write a song with her.”

While we highly doubt that we’ll see 64-year-old Steven Taylor and 23-year-old Taylor Swift out for a night on the town anytime soon, a duet between the two wouldn’t be surprising. With Tyler’s recent rejuvenation in popularity due to his stint as a judge on American Idol, and Swift constantly coming in at the top of the charts, a mash-up would likely be a hit.

Aerosmith is currently on the second leg of their Global Warming Tour in support of their 2012 album Music from Another Dimension, which wraps up on May 11^th in Jakarta, Indonesia.
