Trent Reznor Discusses Nine Inch Nails' Future Plans
By: Claire Holton
3/14/2013

In a new interview with NME, frontman Trent Reznor revealed that there are two new Nine Inch Nails songs in the works which the newly reconfigured band might play at the Reading and Leeds Festivals August 23 and 25.

Reznor told NME of the possibility, “There isn't any new material to play except from a couple of tracks Adrian (Belew) and I started experimenting on that were intended to go on a greatest hits record.  We decided to push that back to 2014, and there's no new record scheduled at this point.”

The statement follows Reznor’s February announcement of the return of NIN after a four year hiatus with new band members Josh Eustis of Telefon Tel Aviv, Adrian Belew of King Crimson, and Eric Avery of Jane’s Addiction.

Reznor has also been busy with his side project How To Destroy Angels. The group, which includes longtime collaborators Rob Sheridan, Atticus Ross, and wife Mariqueen Maandig, released their first full-length album, Welcome Oblivion, on March 5.

NIN will perform at the UK festivals as well as the Fuji Rock Festival in Naeba, Japan and Rock’n’Heim Festival in Hockenheim, Germany this summer, with a major world tour to begin in 2014.
