We know what will be on just about every Metallica fan’s Christmas list this year. Martin Popoff’s new book, “Metallica: The Complete Illustrated History” is due out on November 15th and we’ve got a feeling this will be a must have for fans of the bestselling rock bands in history.
One thing that will make this book really rock is that it features 300+ images to tell the story of what is sure to be one of music history’s most important heavy metal bands. The description of the book on Amazon details that images include “live-performance and candid off-stage photographs are accompanied by a stunning selection of memorabilia, including gig posters, concert tees, picture sleeves, backstage passes, buttons, ticket stubs, and more.”
If you want to make sure to snag a copy of the book, you can pre-order it now on Amazon for $23.10.
Our very own Gary Graff provides an essay on the Black Album in the book. According to Graff, “The 'Black Album' was such an iconic album in rock history and such an important album for Metallica. It was great to have an opportunity to revisit it and gather my thoughts about its impact on the band and on the music world in general."
