Motley Crue’s shameless high jinx (at least onstage) are slowly coming to an end, but the rockers will be making at least one more pilgrimage to the mecca of debauchery: Las Vegas. The Crue will be playing for a second time at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s venue The Joint for a dozen concerts spanning September 18 to October 6.
Paul Davis, vice president of entertainment at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, said of the band's return, "The guys had such a wild and successful run the first time around, I'm sure they will want to do everything bigger and better this time. We are extremely excited to see what the band brings to The Joint and Vegas during their second residency,"
Motley Crue has rocked their way to the top of the Billboard 200 charts as one of the most iconic hair bands of the ‘80s and haven’t looked back, mustering up a loyal following of fans in the meantime. However, the group recently announced that their upcoming concert dates could be their last.
Bassist Nikki Sixx recently told Australia’s ToneDeaf that the prospect of the band splitting is, “very emotional and I just think it’s important that we finish what we started and then, you know, it will be whatever it will be. It could be beautiful. It could be a beautiful ending!”
Whether Tommy Lee’s infamous roller coaster drumkit will make an appearance at the upcoming Vegas shows is questionable, but we fully expect plenty of antics in the same vein.
The Carnival of Sins is in the city of sins and Nikki Sixx confirmed with USA Today that, “this year we'll take it over the top with a brand new show that will be unlike anything you've ever seen Motley Crue do before."
We can’t wait to see what they have up their sleeve(less shirts)!
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. For more info, head to www.Motley.com.
