After a 12 year hiatus, Soundgarden’s return into the music industry has left them plenty busy over the past few months. With a new album, a couple hit singles, a Dave Grohl-directed music video and a string of upcoming tour dates under their belts, the group has come back strong and refreshed.
To continue the trend, the iconic grunge-rock band has just signed a new publishing deal with BMG Chrysalis U.S. According to the company’s official website, they will now be representing the entire Soundgarden catalog, including hits such as “Black Hole Sun,” and “Spoonman,” all the way up to music from their latest release, King Animal.
Jill Pedone, Creative Director at BMG Chrysalis U.S., said of the partnership, “Soundgarden have earned their place in music history as innovators of the rock genre. We are thrilled to be working with the band during their pivotal reemergence and their catalog that has changed the face of rock music.”
Soundgarden’s upcoming U.S. tour dates kick off on May 3 in Atlantic City, NJ and wrap up on May 28 in Broomfield, CO.
