It looks like we won’t be waiting that much longer for some new music from Pearl Jam!
The grunge/rock icons have been busy working on their 10th studio album, and according to guitarist Stone Gossard, the end is near.
In a recent interview with Guerilla Candy, Gossard explained, “It’s almost done and as far as what it sounds like, it sounds like Pearl Jam. You’re going to hear some rock songs and you’re going to hear some quiet songs and you’ll hear some song in between. That’s all I can really say about it because we aren’t talking about it yet, so it doesn’t make much sense for me to say anything.”
And while Gossard’s upcoming solo album Moonlander will most definitely be out on June 25, the release date for Pearl Jam’s new LP is anyone’s guess. Many have speculated it will be out this year, while others predict it will hit shelves in 2014.
The band is also gearing up for a series of yet-to-be-announced fall tour dates, which Guerilla Candy thinks will conclude when the band headlines the New Orleans Voodoo Festival in early November.
As of now, Pearl Jam has two concert dates scheduled for the summer: one at the Budweiser Gardens in London, Ontario on July 16 and another at Chicago’s Wrigley Field on July 19.
