The reveals keep on coming from the guys of Queens of the Stone Age. After teasing “My God is the Sun” during their performance at Lollapalooza Brazil in March, the band has now released another new song and a very unique music video to go along with it.
“I Appear Missing” is the first official track to be released from their forthcoming studio album …Like Clockwork, and the tone of both the music and its accompanying animated video can be summed up in one word: dark.
The song also features Dave Grohl back on the drums, marking his first time recording with the band since 2002’s Songs for the Deaf. Also appearing on the upcoming LP, due out June 4, are musical heavyweights such as Elton John, Trent Reznor and QOTSA original bassist, Nick Oliveri.
Queens of the Stone Age also have a series of concert dates scheduled over the next few months in support of their latest release, including a very recently announced performance at the Austin City Limits festival in October.
