It’s been quite a while since Creed come out with new material, but if it’s the vocal stylings of frontman Scott Stapp that you miss the most, then this news is definitely for you!
It was announced yesterday (September 24) via official press release that Stapp will be releasing his first new solo album since 2005, entitled Proof of Life on November 5 via Wind Up Records.
The album works as almost a musical version of Stapp’s memoir Sinner’s Creed, which was released last year. Through the LP’s 11-tracks, the singer outlines his life’s story, from his religious upbringing to the success of Creed to his ongoing issues with substance abuse.
“This is the most meaningful record of my career,” Stapp stated in the official press release. “I've made a lot of messes in my life but I've learned I can take a mess and turn it into a message. This album chronicles my struggles, my journey and it's the most honest record I have ever written.”
And fans won’t have to wait until November to hear the album’s music; the lead off Proof of Life lead track, “Slow Suicide,” is set to hit radio airwaves on October 8.
Preorders will be available soon via Scott Stapp’s official website.
